A workshop organized by Malir University on 'Awareness on Covid-19 - implementation of SOPs'. Prof. Dr. Syed Tipu Sultan, Anaestisiast and Dr. Erum Naz, Microbiologist were the facilitator. Both the facilitaors have lightened the audiance in depth. Online Seminar
An online seminar was organized in collaboration with Islamia University Bahawalpur and Malir University on International Literacy Day on 8th September 2020. Welcome to VC
Malir University has arranged a get-to-gather with the local community to welcome new Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahida Sajjad. A large number of well wisher and friends had attended the gathering. Prof. Dr. Syed Tipu Sultan, Chancellor Malir University welcomed the participants and introduced Prof. Dr. Shahida Sajjad. He also spoke on vision and mission of the university and future endeavors of the Trust under which the university is established.
Prof. Dr. Shahida Sajjad was invited on the dice to let the audiences know that how she will take the university name and image in academic world. The Vice-Chancellor has very beautifully brightened her steps to achieve university goals.
Pakistan 73rd Independence Day
Pakistan 73rd Independence Day was celebrated by Malir University with traditional zeal and spirit of patriotism. The celebration commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran. National flag was hoisted by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahida Sajjad & Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Tipu Sultan as the national anthem of Pakistan played along. After flag hoisting Chancellor and Vice Chancellor spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of sincerity, freedom and loyalty for the country.
MPA ABDUL RAZZAQ RAJA VISIT TO MU
Mr. Abdul Razzaq Raja, MPA of 90 Constituency had visited the Malir University on 19th December 2019 and met with the university's top management. He was welcomed by the Chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Syed Tipu Sultan and briefed him about the academic activities being carried regularly and discussed other issues with him also. Mr. Raja appreciated the efforts and vision of the management for opening up university in a village, the under privileged area of Malir District.
Mr. Raja took the shake hand with the Chancellor MU for working on Parha Likha Malir in phase one with covering the entire province at later stage.

1st batch students had arranged a welcome party in favor of 2nd batch students. There were speeches from both the sides. The 1st batch student also served lunch to all faculty, staff and students.
SOS CHILDREN VILLAGE
Malir University of Science & Technology Koohi goth, students, faculty & staff visited SOS Children Village. Students were asked to prepared a report which should fulfill your course requirements.
The students had enjoined & experienced the facilites and services being provided in the village. They were briefed by the Regional Director Mrs. Hashimi. The students and faculty also visted the SOS School and College. The college Principal Ms. Yes it differed internship to our BS Education students.
SOLIDARITY HOURS
Malir University of Science & Technology Koohi goth, deh Landhi Bin Qasim town Karachi has observed the solidarity hours on Friday 30th August 2019 with Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Undistributed rather peaceful protest started from University campus, Koohi goth. A large member’s faculty, Staff and students have participated and marched from campus to National Highway near Manzil Pump having play cards. The Koohi goth residence and others also participated in the protest and gathered dot 12:15 pm, the University Registrar along with all participants read the National Anthem and prayed to Al Mighty Allah Kashmir that get Independence.

GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY OF MALIR UNIVERSITY
The Ground Breaking Ceremony of Malir University of Science & Technology was organized at a local hotel in the city on May 24. It was attended by the social, political and educational elite, professionals and philanthropists. The university has been sponsored by Zafar and Atia Foundation Charitable Trust, whose chairman and chancellor of the University, Professor Syed Tipu Sultan, is a well known physician and educationist. He highlighted the unique features of the newly established university and mentioned that the main purpose for establishing Malir University is to serve the population living in Malir, Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi and adjoining rural areas, so that young men and women from the middle and lower-middle income families could obtain quality higher education at affordable fee.
MEETING WITH YOUTH COUNSELOR MR. TALHA ATHAR
A meeting with youth counselor Mr. Talha Athar of UC-23 Malir District was held in university campus on 11th may 2017. The participants includes Registrar Prof. S. Sikander Mehdhi, Controller Exams Mr. Muhammad Siddique and Director Finance Mr. Motiullah Siddiqui with the agenda to explore malir university future plans and the degree programs after issuance of NOC from HEC and immediately start short courses for the youth of malir and surrounding areas. the pictures were taken during the meeting.

ROUND TABLE discussion on 'The Concept of Community College' - Malir University of Science and Technology organized a Round Table on 'The Concept of Community College' from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at its camp office premises at Kala Board, Malir. Professional and experienced academics, experts and college officials participated in the discussion.
MALIR UNIVERSITY NAMES ITS AUDITORIUM AS ABDUL SATTAR EIDHI AUDITORIUM
Malir University of Science & Technology Karachi have organized a seminar on "Edhi Ka Pakistan aur hamari zimadarian" today, 20th August 2016 at 11am at the University City Campus located at main Kalaboard, Malir. The Chief Guest was Mr. Faisal Edhi and other speakers includes Prof. Syed Tipu Sultan, Chancellor, Prof. Mehtab S. Karim, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Seraj Uddaula Syed, Pro Vice-Chancellor Malir University, Ms. Sheema Kirmani, Social Activist and Human Rights Campaigner, Dr. Japal, Mr. Sambul Rehmat, representative of Bishap. They spoke on Edhi services rendered by him to the people of Pakistan. They recognized his unmatched services and promise to continue his efforts with same spirit. The speakers suggested that at the primary level syllabus, a topic on Edhi service to be included.
In the concluding remarks, The Vice-Chancellor Malir University thanked the participants and the guests for sparing their precious moments to attend the seminar. It was ended with the dua that we will continue effort and follow his footprints.
